History
ExAudio AB is a spin-off company from Lund University (LU), Sweden, registered in the year 2005. The emergent of the company was the result of a desire to collect all former business entities within the field of sound and vibration from LU under one single entity.
Lund University, forms together with the same size Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, two of the largest research, education and development centers within acoustic signal processing in Sweden. LU were pioneers when it started real-time multi-microphone research in the mid 1980’s. Since then the group has grown to become one of the more prominent research groups in the world with more than 300 peer reviewed publications and patents. Today the IP portfolio contains all ingredients to form a complete set of the most advanced acoustic communications solutions. Historically, the research group has been a significant partner in the jointly developed solutions in the early days of telecommunication solutions from Ericsson Mobile Platforms. Several other significant collaborations have been conducted with business and research entities in the area of hearing aids, automotive communication, acoustic emergency equipment, hearing protection, etc.
